I wrote "Rose Ann" in appreciation of the talent she has and for the person she is. -- In more genteel times, a gentleman would many times offer a lady his arm as they walked together. This is one of the 18th century customs Rose Ann and I adopt when walking in the gardens at Mount Vernon, visiting other historic properties or anytime we feel like it.
