When Lafayette departed Norfolk in October 1824, the citizens of Norfolk held a large ball in his honor. Now, two centuries later, Norfolk will host a ball at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club (overlooking the Lafayette River). Come dance to period music in your best 1820s period attire (modern Black Tie optional); and meet the Marquis! Seating will be limited to 180 guests.
